Copyright is a property right. Under the Federal Copyright Act of 1976 (effective January 1, 1978 and
amended when the USA joined the Berne Convention in 1989), photographs are protected by
copyright from the moment of creation.
This protection is automatic and applies whether the photographer puts a copyright mark on the
images or not, so please do not reproduce any professionally produced images, especially ours.
We make every effort to give you high quality photographs at a fair price; unlawful reproduction
simply drives up prices.
